Specialised Breeds
We are very proud here at Rivergum to offer some unique designer breeds. We are one of the only breeders in Australia to be fully trained in using TCI insemination for artificial insemination of some wonderful breeds such as the spanatriever, mini groodle, cavatriever, spanador and cavador. Some of the breeds you see below are breeds which are not available all the time but are much sort after lovely family orientated pets.

SpanatrieversGolden Retriever x Cocker Spaniel Spanatrievers are bred with the help of artificial insemination technology which is necessary because of the size difference between the Golden Retriever mother and Cocker spaniel sire. Spanatrievers are active, outdoor dogs who love to run, fetch and play, and swim and frolic in the water as often as they can. They are a lovely soft nature dog whilst being playful and easy going. They are well suited to people who like the outdoors and are always up for adventure. They are a medium sized dog ranging between 22-25kg and averaging about 55-60cm fully grown. RetrievadorsGolden Retriever x Labrador
We have had great success with this breed for many years and have only now decided to add them to our designer selection. We purposely use the Labrador female as the dam as they are bolder in nature than the Golden Retriever female which sometimes can be a little submissive in unknown situations. The Golden Retriever male is used as the sire as their temperament is less boisterous and food orientated than the Labrador and our Golden males have a wonderful disposition.
